| This 15 minute video shows construction of a concrete masonry dome home in Sedona, Arizona. After floor plans are drawn, a balloon is constructed in the chosen shape of the dome, and a tension ring is anchored into the ground. The balloon is attached and inflated. Foam insulation is then sprayed on the inside of the dome, followed by spraying concrete mixed with metal filings for strength.The super-structure is up and ready in only one week! Conventional framing was chosen for the interior. | |
